Dr. DMX has long been the go-to guy for all things DMX. His products are used industry wide for testing and stable reproduction of DMX Signals. But now we can also turn to the team at Doug Fleenor Design for all of our sACN & Artnet needs. New for this year is the DMX doohickey - the name is the only thing funny about it. This tiny device is designed to detect the address on channel 512 of a DMX universe. With hundreds of DMX universes available in sACN range people are beginning to identify them by parking channel 512 at the same value as the universe they are using. (universe #1 = channel 512 @1%) The DMX doohickey quickly identifies that DMX universe. Preset 10 Ethernet is a new 10-button station for Snapshot Capture and Architectural Playback of up to four (4) universes of DMX. These universes are collected from the sACN stream via RJ-45 with support for POE switches. Multiple stations may operate on the same network. Also new for this year is the 8 Channel Ethernet to Analog Interface. This device will accept sACN or ArtNet protocols and convert them into 0-10V outputs for control of analog equipment and lighting. Another product that has made the jump from DMX to Ethernet-based protocols is the famous 1 Channel Relay Pack. This product is used to quickly control the power to simple devices such as fans, hazers, projectors, practicals, and non-DMX products.
TAG: Architectural Control
InteractiveTechnologies has been making DMX controllers and testing equipment for 20 years. Their Cue Server line easily controls DMX controlled lighting fixtures commonly found on building exteriors, in foyers, ballrooms, convention halls, and in other decorative architectural lighting projects. Architectural lighting cues can be triggered by CueServer's built-in clock at any time of the day, on any day of the week, and each day of the year. Cue servers come in two versions 1 and 2 with the series 2 offering more functions and expandability. While available in rack mount and DIN rail flavors for a while Interactive released the new CueServer 2 "Mini" This tiny CueServer can be configured to output up to 32 universes of DMX, has two built-in slots for interchangeable DMX modules, and has function buttons, digital I/O and audio output all in a size that fits in your hand.
NEW to LDI this year was Lumenpulse, featuring its vast variety of permanent installed architectural products and expert technical support staff, many of which started out in the entertainment industry. This young company has quickly become a household name when it comes to exterior color changing project applications. Lumenpulse was featuring their new generation of Lumenbeam fixtures which are available in a new 4000K color temperature as well as a third brighter than the last generation.

This flexible system can be set up using CAT5 over a network or using existing wire and 485 Architectural Gateway to provide new control features to an existing system.
